These are the stories of lesbians and queers in Europe, reflecting their lives right now. I was curious about their lived experiences and couldn't find these stories. Rather than rely on assumptions or preconceived ideas, I embarked on a journey to ask them directly.

Here, you’ll meet diverse individuals and glimpse their personal thoughts and feelings. You'll discover how they live their lives in the public space, how they view society, their place in it, their experiences with love, parenthood, and what it means to be a woman who loves other women.

While many countries in Europe have changed their laws to include LGBTQ+ individuals, it’s easy to assume the fight is over. I wanted to uncover their truths and engage in authentic conversations, soul to soul. My aim is to make the human experience visible. Women, being the sex that has been most objectified and written about, deserve to have their voices heard in their own way. That's why these stories are presented as monologues, striving to capture the essence of their unique language.

However this is not Shakespeare. I am Swedish, and many of the women I interview don't speak English as their first language. What matters here is their tone, their language, their individual fingerprint. I hope you'll see it and feel it. These are also stories of women who are breaking free from the patriarchal structures that have dominated our world for too long. I find their openness, vulnerability, and courage inspiring and hopeful. By sharing these stories, we connect with each other. We are not walking this path alone.
